Job summary
The post-holder will provide psychiatric input to the team. The post-holder will have a remit of assessing new patients and discussing within the MDT, assessing existing community patients in clinic to identify any ongoing treatment needs and whether the patient still requires secondary mental health input and assessing, treating and managing patients with care coordinators for patients that are under CPA. Patients may be seen at The Halliwick Centre, in their homes or remotely.

Main duties of the job
The key responsibilities are to provide bio-psycho-social assessment, diagnostic formulation, risk assessment and to give consideration for further management and treatment.
This may include working with the families and carers and liaison with other agencies. All of this must be supported by appropriate and timely clinical documentation. Attention must be given to any relevant physical health needs with liaison with primary and secondary care service as necessary.
