Are you a band 5 Physiotherapist who wants to expand and further specialise your clinical skills within a B5/6 development role. Working with Enfield Community Services within Adult Community Physiotherapy or a newly qualified Physiotherapist wanting your first post? Either way we have the support to offer you a wide and varied opportunity to develop to work with adults mainly with physical health needs.
Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust currently offer support and guidance to newly qualified Physiotherapists in partnership with the Health Education England Pan-London Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Preceptorship Programme.
As part of our established teams, with a mix of B7/ B6 and B4's you will have the opportunity to assess, treat and manage a wide range of clinical presentations. You will work closely with other AHP's and Nurses.

Main duties of the job
Clinical
To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work and that work delegated to support staff.
To assess patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies: using clinical reasoning skills and assessment techniques to provide a clinical diagnosis.
To utilise knowledge of evidence based practice and treatment options to select and deliver a physiotherapy programme to individual patients and plan their successful discharge.
To take responsibility for a delegated caseload, managing patients with a variety of conditions and pathologies
Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consent and have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment.
Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients and carers to progress rehabilitation and treatment
When working in the community and domiciliary settings seeing patients already known to the service, e.g. follow up home visits, to work as lone practitioner with prearranged telephone support from a named senior physiotherapist.
To be responsible for maintaining accurate comprehensive patient treatment records in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) standards of practice and BEH MHT policies and to communicate assessment and treatment results to the appropriate disciplines in the form of reports and letters.

To undertake the collection of data for use in service audit and for monitoring service level agreements.
Be responsible for the safe and competent use of equipment, through teaching and supervision of practice.
To communicate regularly and effectively with other members of the physiotherapy service in order to ensure seamless physiotherapy provision to patients moving between different areas of the service.
To be aware of Health and Safety aspects of your work and implement any policies, which may be required to improve the safety of your work area, including your prompt recording and reporting of accidents to senior staff, and ensuring that equipment use is safe.
To comply with the organisational and departmental policies and procedures and to be involved in the reviewing and updating as appropriate.
Carry out assessments and treatments of neuro/muscular skeletal conditions with moderate physical, and significant mental and emotional effort on a daily basis.
To be able to work flexibly adjusting working plans on a daily basis, in response to requests from other staff that alters the priorities for the physiotherapy team.
