An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist who wishes to develop specialist skills in Paediatrics within a supportive team. We are looking for a creative, friendly and enthusiastic OT to join our established Children's Team. We are located near Enfield Town, with easy commuter links from Central London/Hertfordshire.

This is a split post working in both the SEN OT team and Durant's School OT team. Durant's is a secondary school for students with ASD. This is a new OT post and you will have the chance to develop the service provision into the school alongside your OT colleagues.

We are a dynamic, innovative and friendly team who report high levels of job satisfaction. We offer a professionally led service with direct support from an OT Clinical Lead Specialist, monthly in-service team training, effective supervision and External Training opportunities through the Trust.

There is a maximum of £6,500 contribution towards relocation fees for new staff moving to work for the Trust. Terms and Conditions apply.

Main duties of the job

Your role will be to provide specialised SEN Occupational Therapy for a defined caseload of children with OT specified in their EHCP (0-25 years) and to take the lead in developing the quality of EHCP's & SEN OT provision within the OT team. The role will involve working closely with Local Educational Authority SEN team, with the opportunity to build clinical expertise within this specialist area. You will also have opportunities to provide training packages to schools and parents.

You will also work within the Durants OT schools' team to develop and provide Occupational Therapy services for students who attend Durants both at home and school.

As part of this role you will be expected to supervise and appraise junior staff and contribute to the local staff training programme.

The successful candidate will be committed to occupationally focused, family centred and evidence-based care.
