Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic and subject matter expert to lead and manage our specialist Substance Misuse Teams in Enfield and Haringey. The service has a tremendous history of successful partnership working and innovation with excellent working relationships between our team members, our partner providers, service users and commissioners. We are looking to recruit a like-minded person to join our team and support our development over the coming years where we have an excellent opportunity to grow our services.

Main duties of the job

Operational leadership of the Haringey and Enfield Substance Misuse Teams (including rough sleepers and criminal justice provision) operational leadership of the Haringey and Enfield Dual Diagnosis Teams. Dynamic engagement with teams and partners, co-producing, developing and implementing the BEH innovation SMS plan.

About us

The post holder will become one of the senior managers within the Specialist Services Division within BEH and be reporting directly to the Senior Service Lead for Health in Justice. Joining this service, you will be very well supported to succeed and achieve fulfilment in your role. Our division is very well thought of within BEH and has a lengthy history of innovation, co-production, service user involvement and very good staff satisfaction. Qualifications training

Essential

  • Masters in management/ business or substance misuse field or a related social or health care area.

Desirable

  • Project management qualification (e.g. Prince) or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) within general management activities.
  • Qualifications and state registration as a member of a clinical profession e.g. nursing, social work, etc

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a clinical setting.
  • Experience of managing and leading a tier 3 substance misuse service.

Desirable

  • Evidence of managing and developing therapy teams.
  • Evidence of service development in a criminal justice setting.

Knowledge/Skills

Essential

  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and organisational skills with a clear understanding and knowledge of data analysis development and data management and interpretation.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the local health economy, recent NHS modernisation policies, strategies and outpatient practices.

Personal Qualities

Essential

  • Positive, energetic, enthusiastic in outlook and able to set a good example.
  • Evidence of strong leadership skills, the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence at a senior level with a supportive style whilst also able to take difficult decisions and act assertively.
