We are pleased to be recruiting a Band 7 UKCP registered Family & Systemic Psychotherapist to join Haringey Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The successful applicant will bebased in Generic CAMHS and contribute to the work of the multi-disciplinary team, providing specialist family and systemic psychotherapy and consultation, alongside a range of generic work, drawing on their previous experience and interests.We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapist interested in working with children and adolescents presenting with a range of complex mental health needs. An aptitude and strong interest in engaging collaboratively and creatively alongside colleagues in the multi-disciplinary team and wider service is essential. You will contribute to clinical supervision and training, in line with your experience
Main duties of the job
Haringey CAMHS is a lively and creative service with a skilled and committed staff group working in a borough with diverse ethnically and culturally communities. The population in Haringey is alsosocio-economically diverse, with areas of relative affluence and deprivation in the borough.
Haringey is one of three borough-based CAMHS services in Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health (BEH) Trust and a CYP-IAPT site. The service is currently in the process of rethinking the way mental health and emotional wellbeing need is responded to locally, in line with the principles of the I Thrive model. This is an exciting time to join the service, as we further develop our clinical offer and care pathways to meet referred need. We are keen to recruit a Family & SystemicPsychotherapist with energy and commitment to contribute to these developments.You will join the regular Family Therapy discipline meeting and there are opportunities to participate in Trust wide Systemic forums and CPD.

- To provide a specialist systemic assessment of referrals of a significant and complex nature with a view to formulating and implementing plans for the treatment and management of a child or adolescents mental health problems within the context of family and other systems. These assessments will be based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and will employ research- based
- To work in ways which are sensitive to the needs of families from a wide range of racial, cultural and religious backgrounds. This includes an ability to understand and offer therapeutic interventions to a variety of family forms including single parents, blended families, same sex couples and their wider family networks, accommodated children and their network of care, children who are on the At Risk register and parents with mental health
- To provide highly specialist systemic psychotherapy with clinical autonomy, drawing on a range of models and approaches, and incorporating both short and long-term interventions. To practice in a way that is inclusive and considerate of the needs of each individual in the system, including family members at a variety of developmental stages and taking account of the current emotional state of each individual
- To be responsible for implementing a range of systemic psychotherapeutic therapy drawing upon different explanatory models to maintain a number of provisional hypothesis in reaching a formulation and treatment
