The Wellbeing clinic based at both the Apple Unit, St. Ann's Hospital, St. Ann's Road. Haringey. London. N15 3TH. We are looking for a Band 6, permanent member of staff to come and work with our dynamic Team. We are working to improve the Physical Health for our clients who are suffering from an Enduring Mental Health. We are seeking candidates who are innovate to improve our outcomes.
The post is 37.5 hrs per week, home visits are essential for this role. A car driver is desirable for this role.
Interview date will be 05th May 2022.
Main duties of the job
To provide effective care and specialist advice for people with psychosis and complex mental health needs and their carers, in order to support their wellbeing and recovery.
To administer Depots and take blood (if trained) from clients that attend the clinic, to have a knowledge of the medications and why they are being administered. Phlebotomy training can be provided if necessary.
To liaise with other agencies regarding the ongoing care of patients that are attending the clinic.
Provide formal, on-going clinical supervision and caseload management supervision to junior and less experienced community mental health staff, as directed.
Consider the physical healthcare needs of Service users and undertake prescribed physical observations as follows: blood pressure, temperature, respirations, blood sugars, weight and height, and report exceptions as appropriate.
To support students in their learning on the Unit.
To work closely with the Team Doctors and attend review meetings.

Essential
- Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- Recognised training in teaching/mentorship/supervision or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification. ENB998

- Relevant qualification in Psychosocial Interventions with people with severe and enduring mental health problems.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Essential
- Significant years post-registration experience, at least one of which will be working with people with severe and complex mental health problems.
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of exercising clinical responsibility for patients' care and treatment, both as a professionally qualified practitioner and also within the context of a multidisciplinary care plan and under supervision.
Desirable
- Experience of teaching, training and/or mentoring.
- Experience of working within a multicultural framework.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Ability to manage own stress and work in a stressful and unpredictable environment.
