Job summary
The Catering Department are looking for Bank Band 2 Catering Assistants to work flexible hours.
We are looking for motivated individuals with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team or alone, who is customer focused with an ability to react to situations as they occur.
The Catering Assistant will be a multi-skilled person working within a team. It may be necessary for you to work in different sections of the Catering Department, usually on duties appropriate to your grade.

- Caf Royale (Retail Services)
- Main Catering Stores
To be responsible for cleanliness and hygiene standards in the Catering Department.
To provide an efficient and effective catering service to Patents, Staff and Visitors delivering excellent patient care in line with the Trust's values.
To be responsive to service needs as they arise and constantly seek to improve the productivity and quality of the service by providing a fully supported service over a 7 day week period.
Main duties of the job
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake mandatory Food Hygiene, Manual Handling and Induction Training, and participate in annual updates.
- Undertake Specialist Training in relation to the post. Dismantling and reassembling kitchen equipment
- Participate in formal individual performance reviews in line with Trust policy, agree annualobjectives for training with line management, and regularly review progress against these objectives.
- To be aware of all Trust policies and procedures and to abide by them at all times.
- To ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of staff, patients and visitors, in accordance with the Trust's Health and Safety Policy.
- To report any accidents/incidents immediately, in line with Trust Procedure.
