Job summary
Deliver Ophthalmic services including Intravitreal injections, Cataract surgery and out patient clinics including general, URC and Glaucoma.
Main duties of the job
To provide surgical procedures and outpatient consultations on a range of ophthalmic conditions at Boston House and Leigh Infirmary.

- MB ChB or equivalent
- Full registration with the GMC
Desirable
- ALS or equivalent
- MRCOphth or equivalent
Experience

- Postgraduate experience
- Able to carry our BLS to a standard that accords with the UK Resuscitation Council guidelines

- Experience of Ophthalmic surgery
- Experiences of AMD services
- Experience of Diabetic Screening services
- Completed audit projects

- Good communicator and team player
- Ability to keep good clinical records
- Ability to to take a clinical history and examine patients commensurate with a middle grade member of medical staff
