This job is now closed

Job summary

This post will provide support to our medical divisions, with their end-to-end recruitment process for all grades of medical staff. There will also be opportunities to gain experience in a variety of other medical staffing work tasks including temporary staffing processes, junior doctors in training processes and other project work.

This post is advertised as a part time job share of 22.5 hours / 3 days per week and will cover Thursdays and Fridays as standard. The third day would be negotiable with Mondays-Wednesdays so provide cross over with the other post holder in the job share.

The Medical Workforce is a newly formed team in the last 12 months so this is a great opportunity to become part of an evolving team that has many different aspects to get involved with. The role would benefit someone who has previous experience of working on the TRAC recruitment system and a basic knowledge of medical recruitment and contracts.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for all medical vacancies within a specific clinical Division but also provide cross cover for the other Recruitment Officers within the Medical Workforce team.

The key duties for this role will be:

  • Identifying vacant posts and working with Recruiting Managers to raise vacancies.
  • Support Recruiting Managers with planning of shortlisting, interview and offers stages.
  • Identifying vacancies from our Doctor in Training post and maintaining changeover records of all incoming and outgoing rotational doctors.
  • Process on-boarding of all doctors.
  • Issuing of contracts, amendment to contracts and standard employment letters.
