Job summary

We are looking for a Senior Digital Project Manager who will lead multiple digital projects with the help of a team of Project Managers and project support engineers to implement the trust digital strategy within the IT services programme delivery team.

You will join the Project Management team, who work in Leigh, in the Digital IT service Department. This Project Delivery Team is in charge of delivering a diverse and exciting range of projects to support the Trust in meeting its Corporate Objectives.

Main duties of the job

The post will be an IT Service Project Manager in the IT Services project delivery team. The post holder will manage several projects, and will have autonomy over their own tasks and decisions.

The IT Service Project Team oversee and assist various projects that provide the organisation's Digital solutions.

The main responsibilities and duties of the job are :

  • Project Management lead on one or more designated projects, working toPRINCE2 standards
  • Responsibility for ensuring appropriate Project Governance structures are in place.
  • Production of quality project documentation to include Project Initiation Documents, robust project plans and RAID logs.
  • Management of risks and issues including escalation to IM&T Programme and / or Project Steering Groups.
  • Ensuring that Patient Safety and Quality is at the forefront of any consideration to Project scope and deliverables.
  • Ensuring early identification of benefits and plans in place to ensure baseline measures are available for post project go live monitoring and benefits realisation.
  • Managing internal and external suppliers.
  • Responsible to the IM&T Programme Manager for providing an overall picture of the status of the project/s.

  • Prepare project, stage and exception plans in conjunction with team leads/stakeholders.
