The 4 substantive roles will have responsibility across a range of public health priorities including (but not limited) drugs and alcohol, mental wellbeing, health inclusion, children and young people, physical activity, healthy weight and wider determinants of health.
The fixed term post will be responsible for tobacco due to the expansion local smoke-free programmes.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will have responsibility for the delivery of key public health programmes for improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities.
Applying your public health knowledge and skills you will take responsibility for creating and implementing robust and effective plans working with a range of partners and stakeholders. You will thrive on innovation and delivering outcomes that make a tangible difference to peoples lives and enjoy bringing forward opportunities for change, promoting innovative thinking, evidence based decision making and best practice.
Thorough understanding of asset-based working and how this approach can be applied throughout the design and delivery of programmes and projects you will actively contribute to strategic priorities and the ambition of the Health and Wellbeing Board and Healthier Wigan Partnership.
