Job summary

The post holder is responsible for ensuring that standardised methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all Changes, in order to minimise the impact of Change-related incidents upon service quality, and consequently to improve the day-to-day operations of the organisation.

This is an on-site role based at the Leigh Hospital Site but working across any of the Trust locations if required.

Additionally, the post holder would be responsible for all Change Management activities, to include new business change planning, Change Advisory Board (CAB), the production of management information, Request for Changes and a change schedule.

The post holder will also be responsible for Change Management team members both professionally and managerially; ensuring tasks delegated are managed appropriately and within timescales.

Main duties of the job

  • To refine and enhance the scope of the Change Management processes and function
  • To take responsibility for all aspects of the Request for Change process with all sections of IM&T and Trust departments
  • To investigate and resolve specialist or highly complex technical issues and faults occurring in hardware and software - especially those requiring advanced expertise
  • To ensure new systems are fully documented as part of the acceptance through the Change Management process, in accordance with computer industry techniques and standards and, in accordance with specific guidance from National, Regional or Trust Standards
  • To give advanced technical guidance to Team Leaders and other members of IM&T staff
