Job summary
We are seeking a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW), who is passionate about Orthopaedics and Trauma to work on our inpatient Ward at Wigan Infirmary.

Candidates will be required to evidence their qualification certificates to the interview panel.
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English are essential
Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will -
- Function as a team member of the Multidisciplinary Team by assisting the Registered Nurse in the delivery of effective high quality patient care. All work undertaken by the post holder will be under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Provide care/assistance to patients according to needs and problems identified in individual patient care plans.
- Report condition, progress and problems encountered, to nurse in charge.
- Assist in the administering of medication following appropriate training and supervision.
- Escort patients to and from other departments and hospitals when required.
