Recruitment is really important to ensure patient care by recruiting staff as quickly and safely as possible. We are looking for someone brill to joinour busy dedicated team.
Recruitment is fast paced and you will work closely with other members of the team and managers across the Trust ensuring an efficient service isprovided. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload therefore you will require excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
This vacancy is a 12 month Fixed term to cover Maternity Leave, there is a possibility this may become permanent.
Main duties of the job
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience of working in a busy administration or recruitment team, an eye for detailand the ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload effectively and working to deadlines. Ideally we are looking for someone with knowledge of Agenda for Change terms and conditions, (visit NHS Employers website for more information) experience of recruitment processes and the ESR payroll system. However training will be provided to the right candidate who has a willingness to learn.
The role will require you to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, ensuring successful applicants are processed efficiently and accurately.
You will be part of a supportive team who are responsible for administering our end to end recruitment process from advertising vacancies throughto carrying out pre-employment checks and issuing employment contracts. Previous experience using the NHS jobs, Trac or ESR system would be an advantage but don't let this deter you if you have used similar systems as full training will be given.

The Recruitment Officer is responsible for administering the Recruitment process, from end to end to include medical staff changeover and will actively engage with Recruitment Assistants , who undertake pre-employment clearances, to ensure the timely delivery of a quality recruitment service for all staff groups within allocated divisions.It is important for the Recruitment Officer to develop and maintain positive working relationships with Recruiting Managers in order to provide a client centred Recruitment Service. The Recruitment Officer will provide advice to recruiting managers in order to ensure their recruitment is processed efficiently and in line Trust Policies and procedures, and with legislation and best practice.
Working together, the Recruitment team will maintain a green dashboard within the TRAC Recruitment Management system each day and ensure that all messages are actioned within either defined KPIs .
The fundamental aim of all post holders in the Team is to get the basics right.
