Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity, we are advertising for two maternity matrons to join our team, the two post advertised will be Intrapartum Matron and Inpatient Matron.

Are you looking for a development opportunity, we are looking for an experienced clinically sound midwife with a broad range of midwifery experience. The post holder will be provide dynamic collaborative leadership and direction across the areas within the maternity service. A visible and approachable leader who will support the delivery of high standards of care. Do you have operational management experience and are looking to take the next step, come and join us at WWL.

Work collaboratively within the multi disciplinary team, to contribute to the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Divisions strategic and operational plan concerning, staff competency, staff objectives and targets, time plans, quality improvement

First line management of Band 7 Midwifery staff including ward mangers, team leaders, specialist midwives and shift co-coordinators, being supportive and a visible leader

Collaborate with all staff to maintain a safe, clean working environment, recognising changing priorities and risks, and implementing corrective actions within own limits and informing the relevant people
