Job summary

We currently have a great opportunity within our Transport team for a Transport Driver.

The role is part time, working 25 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

To support the delivery of patient care by the transportation of goods, linen, pharmacy supplies, medical specimens, and Trust staff around the Trust and deliver/pick up from other contracted service users. To maintain vehicles in a clean & tidy state and promote good customer service to users. To complete legal & service required checks.

Job responsibilities

Understand transport rules & regulations in relation the vehicle being driven.Work to standard operational procedures, and allocated duties. Supervisor available.Ensure daily vehicle checks are carried out.Will be required to move, handle and distribute a variety of goods, which may be light, heavy or fragile, includes transportation of staff.Will be expected to drive classes of vehicles ranging from small vans, mini-buses and vehicles up to 7.5tonnes tail lift.Ensure compliance with route information and collection/delivery points.Will be responsible for the regular cleaning (inside & out) of vehicles, vehicle inspection checks, and for reporting faults to the Transport Supervisor.Will respect the confidentiality of all goods carried.
