The Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a confident and innovative qualified nurse for the post of Staff Nurse to join the Staffordshire Care Group's, Cancer and Supportive Therapies Team based in Northern Staffordshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that delivers specialist oncology and haematology services in community settings including health centre's and community hospitals. The aim of the service is to provide community based supportive therapies to patients with an oncology or haematology diagnosis undergoing specialist treatments within the University Hospital of North Midlands.
If you are a nurse with the ability to provide, maintain and assist in the delivery of a specialist nurse-led service this is an excellent opportunity to further develop your career. You will be providing specialist advice, support and clinical care for people throughout their treatment pathway.
Main duties of the job
To be considered for this post you must be an adult NMC registered nurse with experience or a keen interest in the care of patients with an oncological or haematological condition. Experience of treatment side effects is desirable although a full induction and competency framework will be provided using current evidence-based guidelines. Full support will be provided to ensure transition into this specialist role and an opportunity to access further education to enhance the knowledge and skills required.
