Job Share - 18.75 hours per week Only open to internal MPFT applicants with experience of site management.
We are looking to recruit a Lead Site Manager at our St Georges Hospital in Stafford. As Lead Site Manager you will be responsible for ensuring a level of senior nurse leadership across the St Georges site both in and out of hours which will meet the required standards agreed by the Safe Staffing Group led by the Director ofNursing.
You will be working to the direction and support of the In-patient Services Modern Matrons for Mental Health and in conjunction with the Senior Inpatient Nurse Managers from the Specialist Services Division, the Lead Site Manager/Hospital coordinator is responsible for ensuring a level of senior nurse leadership across the St Georges site both in and out of hours which will meet the required standards agreed by the Safe Staffing Group led by the Director of Nursing.
Main duties of the job
- You will be responsible for providing highly specialist advice regarding the management of patients when attending emergencies and will be required to advise on appropriate course(s) of action to taken to de-escalate and/or manage the patient in line with risk and care plans.
- You will be responsible for the on-going accurate collation and evaluation of this Safe Staffing data and for presentation of this data to the Safe Staffing Group chaired by the Director of Nursing.
- You will be the accountable and responsible lead specialist for the site manager/ Hospital coordinator function.
- You will work in partnership with wards, CRHT and external agencies to manage bed pressures and provide relevant information to influence decisions regarding the use out of area placements/use of Ministry of Defence beds/repatriation and internal bed transfer arrangements.
- You will work collaboratively with Ward Managers, Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHT), Community Teams and external organisations to ensure adherence to Trust wide Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and provide specialist knowledge and guidance to further develop and update these policies and procedures.
