Job summary
Haywood Hospital houses the long-established specialist rehabilitation service for the North Midlands. The Rehabilitation Medicine department is the recognised regional provider of bed-based and outpatient specialist services for adults with complex disabilities. The inpatient unit, Broadfield Ward provides the specialist inpatient rehabilitation in 21 UKROC accredited Level 2a beds.
The post holder will be responsible for the daily medical care of inpatients on Broadfield Ward, under the supervision of two consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine and supported by an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Main duties of the job
Main duties will comprise routine medical reviews, clerking of planned admissions, management of unexpected complications and emergency presentations and supporting the wider multidisciplinary team in providing bespoke programmes of goal-oriented specialist rehabilitation.
