Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced based interventions required including health promotion within a prison environment.
To be responsible for the appropriate risk assessment of service users, providing effective advice, guidance and decision making process, seeking support and guidance where necessary.
Responsible for coordinating the care and assessment under the care coordination approach.
To ensure a high standard of nursing in the application of clinical nursing procedures and treatment including the custody storage and administration of drugs.
Professional
To keep up to date records and information for the purpose of internal and external evaluation and for patient benefit.
Responsible as per NMC guidelines to participate in the trust supervision and appraisal process, identifying mandatory professional, personal development and training needs. To demonstrate compliance with Inclusion mandatory training.
To practice within the NMC code of professional conduct and ensure that registration is maintained and to comply with NMC Revalidation.
Responsible for ensuring record keeping is maintained adhering to NMC guidelines and trust guidelines.
Responsible for raising risks/incidents and adhering to reporting via internal and external systems where required (Safeguard MPFT/Datix PPG)
