I am pleased to offer this exciting 12 month secondment opportunity for a Lead Specialist Practitioner role within the Stafford North District Nursing Team.

You will play a vital part within the exciting changes happening here at Greyfriars Therapy Centre providing you with the valuable opportunity to dip your toes into the waters of senior clinical leadership.

Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities

Providing clinical leadership to the community nursing team. Supporting the District Nursecaseload holder/senior nurse to ensure safe and effective care for service users. They will havethe shared responsibility for organising the day to day running of the caseload. Oversight of the running of the District/Community Nursing caseload and development of staffwithin the team, working alongside the Operational Lead/Manager and Education Lead. They will provide enhanced holistic nursing care to housebound service users utilising enhancedassessment skills; decision making; prescribing and freedom to act as a Specialist Practitioner.They will be experienced in a range of nursing procedures including but not limited to woundcare; end of life care; continence management; administration of medications through variousroutes including I.Vs. Being a senior member of the community nursing team they will share clinical knowledge,expertise and advice and provide mentorship and supervision to pre and post-registration nurses inthe community nursing team.
