The main duties of the Clinical Quality Practitioner (CQP) Specialist within Health Visiting (HV) or has completed the Transfer of Fields within HV, and has had experience of working HV case load is essential to the role.

  • The post holder will support the service model, education, training and competency frameworks with the emphasis on facilitating clinical practice and ensuring an evidence based high quality service is delivered.

  • The post holder will support the Team Leader/Professional Lead to develop packages of education in the workplace in an environment consistent with the philosophy of adult and lifelong learning. There will be close working relationships with local educational establishments and the Education and Training Dept.

  • The primary aim of the service is to deliver the Healthy Child Programme to children, young people and families across Staffordshire and Stoke On Trent providing support with updating policies and service delivery.

  • The CQP will take the lead on projects within the 0-19 Health Visiting and School Nursing Services with focus on the 0-5 years element.
  • The CQP will actively engage with parenting forums to co-produce and develop existing services.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will have a Specialist Practitioner responsibility within the team to maintain clinical practice and provide clinical expertise this may involve actively supporting team members within the teams.

  • To ensure that services are delivered to a high standard that are accessible and demonstrate a commitment to equality and inclusion.

  • Support to enable people to make informed choices about their care and level of assistance to help them live the life they want to lead
