An opportunity has become available in the Burntwood, Lichfield and Tamworth (BLT) Adult Social Care (ASC) Discharge to Assess (D2A) Team for a Social Work Practice Lead.

Main duties of the job
Discharge to Assess is a fast paced environment working alongside Clinical Leads for Therapy and our in-house Home First service leads, alongside external partners, who provide and contribute to the Urgent care system and D2A Pathways.
The successful applicant will be working closely with the leadership team and will be supported to develop a skill set which will include the management of performance, budgets and team members. You will be expected to be an experienced practitioner and have some experience of managing operational teams with in-depth knowledge of safeguarding and complex case management and will enjoy supporting and working with the team members to promote excellent practice

- Qualified and Registered Social Work Practitioner
- Masters level qualification or equivalent experience in relevant professional or managerial role.(e.g. Stage 2 AMHP Qualification, Social Work Post Qualifying Award)
- Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) or Best Interest Assessor (BiA) status OR willing to work towards within a defined timescale
- Evidence of ongoing continued professional development

- Postgraduate qualification in management and/or leadership

- Significant experience in operational and/or leadership role in the NHS or Local Authority delivering the relevant statutory functions.
