Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk Management Facilitator to work within the Quality and Clinical Performance Directorate of Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

As a member of the Quality and Clinical Performance (QCP) Directorate, the post holder will be supporting the Head of Safety and Risk Management in providing specialist clinical and non-clinical risk management advice to clinical services and corporate services. They will facilitate the co-ordination and operational implementation of a positive risk management culture across the Trust, which supports the development of an open and learning based culture for managing risk with the aim of improving patient safety.

The suitable candidate will need to be able demonstrate knowledge and previous experience in patient safety and risk management. The role will require travel across Staffordshire and Shropshire in supporting the Care Groups and associated meetings.

Main duties of the job

  • To ensure that incidents are reported and investigated using appropriate recognised techniques and specialist risk knowledge and that staff are trained on how to report Incidents, investigate where necessary and cascade and embed lessons learnt.
  • To provide and present reports on incidents as required for subgroups and committees highlighting trends, outcomes and recommendations that can be shared across the Trust.
  • To provide advice on both clinical and non-clinical risk management to individuals, managers and staff.
  • To deliver Trust risk management training programme.
  • To support the Head of risk management with external reporting requirements, including the, updating of reporting systems such as Safeguard, data quality reviews, report generating.
