Community Mental Health Nurse - ADHD/ASD Pathway

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a band 6 Mental Health Nurse within our new adult ADHD/ ASC service.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Mental Health Nurse who has a keen interest in working with this client group to provide a holistic overview and lead on the care and treatment of the person's journey through to recovery.

The service will cover the East and West of South Staffordshire offering remote and face to face appointments.

Ideally you will have experience with working with patients diagnosed with ADHD/ ASC although appropriate training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

You will be managing the duty inbox and the referrals into the service ensuring patients are on the correct pathway.

You will be providing supervision to junior members of the team.

You will have a crucial role in processing, assessing the referrals for ADHD and autism support. Mental health conditions to be assessed to ensure the patient meets the criteria of service provision.

  • Be a Registered Mental Health Nurse - Active on NMC register
  • Ability to use computers and other information technology as required

Experience

  • Have extensive post-registration experience
  • Have previous experience of working in the community.
