Job summary
Children and Young People's Services in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin have received additional investment to improve the support available. As a result, we are excited to advertise a number of new roles, and expand our workforce and Multi-Disciplinary Teams.
The Service Manager for Neurodevelopmental Assessments within CAMHS (known locally as BeeU), will be responsible for ensuring assessments for Autism and ADHD for Children and Young People 5-18 across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin. The candidate will work alongside 2 other Service Managers, one for 'Primary Mental Health' including our Mental Health in Schools offer, and one for 'Specialist CAMHS' services, including Eating Disorders, Crisis and Home Treatment, and all Secondary Care CAMHS teams as well as our senior clinical leadership, as part of our Senior Leadership Team.
Main duties of the job
Leading the delivery of Neurodevelopmental Assessments for 5-18 year olds in CAMHS (BeeU) across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.The post holder will provide operational and strategic leadership to the service, ensuring key performance indicators focussed on:
- increasing the number of Children and Young People able to access Neurodevelopmental Assessments
- increasing the timeliness and responsiveness in accessing assessments, and increase the support for those waiting to ensure they are 'waiting well'
- ensuring maintenance of quality and significant impact of assessments, thus improving outcomes for children and families
