We are currently recruiting to a Rotational Band 5 Occupational Therapist (OT'S) position, initially working in the Shrewsbury Central East Community Mental Health Service. This post forms part of a wider rotation with opportunities to rotate into Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment team (CRHT), BeeU (Children and Young People), Forensics and Older Adult Inpatients. There is also opportunity to explore joining the system rotation and gain experience working in one of our partner organisations.
This 12-month rotation is an ideal opportunity for newly qualified Occupational Therapists or if you are seeking to widen your career opportunities through working in a range of specialties and settings.

Main duties of the job
- You will be responsible for the Occupational Therapy assessment of care needs and contributing to the formulation of the person's needs and the development of a relevant plan based upon the person's negotiated goals and relevant evidence-based interventions.
- In conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team, you will provide Occupational Therapy interventions to support the person to meet their agreed goals and coordinate and/or participate in the review of progress towards those goals, utilising recommended outcome measures, involving the service user and any identified carer throughout the clinical pathway.
- You will be working in a variety of community and inpatient mental health services and geographies. This may require flexibility working across pathways, dependent on skill and service need.
- Delivering a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families.
