Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Physiotherapists to join the North Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Integrated Musculoskeletal Service (NIMS) in MPFT. We have full time (37.5 hours) and part time positions available on a substantive and up to 18/12 Fixed Term Contracts. You will be working as part of a friendly team of Physiotherapists and Advanced Practice Physiotherapists. We have physiotherapy teams located in clinical bases and community hospitals throughout the North Staffordshire area.
The post holder will be supported by experienced Advanced Physiotherapists and Advanced Practice Physiotherapists. Applicants must have relevant postgraduate MSK training and experience within the UK, preferably NHS. The ability to independently manage their own case load and contribute to departmental and service needs is essential. Applicants will be required to have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, the ability to show initiative and be committed to patient care. The post holder will be required to supervise Band 5 physiotherapists, unregistered staff and undergraduate physiotherapy students. Continuing Professional Development training is encouraged and identified through annual appraisal with clinical supervision offered through groups or individual sessions as appropriate.
The post holders will need to be flexible and able to travel in a timely manner to work in a variety of locations across the Trust. This may include some lone working.
