Job summary

A new and exciting service development working with Clinical Psychologists and other mental health professionals in a community mental health service.

You will be contributing as an Assistant Psychologist to the development and delivery of psychological interventions which are offered through group and individual interventions.

The role enables the successful candidate to work closely with the Services Clinical Psychologist and other psychology colleagues.

Main duties of the job

o The post-holder will support B7 and 8a psychologists to provide psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions.

o The post-holder will work with the multi-agency team.

o The post-holder will use research skills for audit, teaching, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service

o The post-holder will compile and disseminate relevant resources.

o The post-holder will work closely with both psychological therapies staff and other non-psychological therapy colleagues.

o The post holder will promote and maintain good working relationships with clients, their families, carers and other external agencies

o The post-holder will assist in the development and delivery of individual and group interventions for parents with mental health difficulties delivering evidence based psychological therapies according to the service user's presenting difficulties and team requirements.

o To use supervision to support own work and to prepare for supervision.

o The post-holder will receive regular clinical professional supervision from senior qualified psychologists in the service.

Essential

  • Completed degree in Psychology.
  • Related working experience.
