Job summary
The Staffordshire Healthcare & Care System recognises that an ambitious programme of operational and clinical change is required if system financial balance is to be achieved; and that this can and should concurrently enable further improvements in the quality of care we commission and provide for the people of Staffordshire. This pan-system programme is facilitated and monitored by a Transformation Delivery Unit (TDU). The TDU (System PMO) was established in August 2019 and is currently hosted by Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) on behalf of the system.
An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Project Manager to join the Transformation Delivery Unit (TDU).
The Project Manager role will support the delivery of system transformational projects, be that at Portfolio, Provider Collaborative or Place level. Each of the Project Managers who work in the TDU are aligned to one of the seven clinical Portfolios and they will undertake the majority of their project work in this area. However, they may also be asked to work across other Portfolios or Enabling Workstreams as required.
This role is being offered on a permanent basis.
Interviews to take place Tuesday 9th January 2024.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will support the Transformation Delivery Manager on a day-to-day basis to ensure that key project management activities are completed to a high standard for the transformation programmes linked to this Portfolio.
The post-holder will manage a range of projects, which support the system to deliver their strategic and operational priorities. These projects will be delivered in accordance with Prince2 Methodology. The number of projects to be managed at any one time will be defined by their scale and level of complexity.
The post-holder will have autonomous responsibility for a small-scale project, or they will support a workstream, which is part of a much larger programme of work led by the Transformation Delivery Manager. The successful candidate will have the ability to balance a very busy workload and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
