Main duties of the job
You will be required to attend a minimum of 1 day teaching at Birmingham University, 1 day self-directed study and 3 days of clinical practice per week offering assessment and low intensity treatment to patients with common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety
Trainees will progress to work with a high degree of autonomy and high volume caseloads including individual and group work. This may include telephone and video sessions and face-to-face work. The role is well supported with weekly case management and monthly clinical supervision with qualified clinicians. In addition to clinical contact, the role includes data collection/management, analysis, record keeping and community engagement activities. You must be able to demonstrate high standards of verbal and written communication, be able to establish good therapeutic relationships with people and be computer literate
Following successful completion of the course and achieving satisfactory performance levels, there will be an opportunity to transition into a Substantive Contract within the service. Once qualified you will be required to become a registered practitioner with either BABCP or BPS within 1 year

- A degree in a relevant subject OR Advanced Level GCEs (A-C) or equivalent
- Significant experience of working with adults who have experienced mental health difficulties.
