Job summary

The Mental Health West Admin Team offers a unique opportunity for an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to work in a supportive environment. The post holder will be a key member of the Admin team whilst working closely with the Mental Health Clinicians, providing administrative duties at one of our busy clinics, so professional and compassionate customer service is important.

The role is based at Park House, Cannock but you may be required to travel to Foundation House, St Georges, Stafford if needed to help cover the team.

Furthermore, our team prides themselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere, where everyone is valued and respected. We provide regular supervision and appraisals to ensure that all staff have the support they need to develop their skills and progress in their careers.

Main duties of the job

  • Various administration tasks such as creating template and bespoke letters
  • Handling a large number of challenging, and often sensitive, telephone calls to community secondary Mental Health Services in a contact centre style team
  • Confidently handling complex queries of a challenging/sensitive nature
  • Concise accurate message taking
  • Using own initiative to proactively resolve problems
  • Working as required at our community receptions
  • Cohesive working within a centralised admin team to provide a first-class admin service to our Mental Health clinicians
