An exciting opportunity has arisen within East Staffordshire area
The post will be based in East Staffordshire work base will be negotiated at interview.
The Social Care pathway provides a truly integrated, recovery focussed service to local people of East Staffordshire aged 18 and over, and those transitioning into adult services, who are experiencing significant and disabling functional mental health difficulties. Our social workers are core members of the integrated mental health pathways and are highly valued and respected in their role supporting the recovery journey for adults with significant mental health needs
We are supported by strong partnerships and working relationships with local independent service providers and voluntary agencies. We pride ourselves on providing a responsive, reflective and effective service to the communities of East Staffordshire
We currently have an opportunity for a Level 2 social worker professional and would welcome applications from:
- Experienced and knowledgeable social workers, preferably qualified as AMHPs.
- Social Work England registered Social Worker with significant experience who is either an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) or is able to commence the AMHP training in the near future.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and innovative individual who possesses excellent communication and organisational skills and has a good working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007); The Care Act 2014 and The Mental Capacity Act 2005.
The successful candidate must be a team player with excellent communication and IT skills.
On appointment, the post holder will be auto-enrolled in the SWLA and aligned to the appropriate British Association of Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework. The relevant SWLA stage (i.e. stage 1 (ASYE), 2 (Social Worker) or 3 (Advanced Social Worker) will also be agreed taking all prior Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and relevant experience into consideration.
