Job summary

You will be a key member of our directorate who is efficient in completing tasks and managing a secure reception area.

You will be an experienced receptionist who will be front of house, greeting internal and external staff, visitors and sometimes members of the public. You will be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and interested in working within a modern, forward thinking effective specialist service.

You will undertake a wide range of receptionist duties based at Clee unit, Redwoods Centre, Shrewsbury Shropshire.

You will be expected to undertake routine shifts.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to have a general understanding and ability to carry out all tasks below:

Operate the panic alarm systems.

Receive and deal with general reception enquiries: this may include listening to and responding to straightforward information or queries and enquiries, dealing with visitors, answering the telephones, taking and forwarding messages, taking deliveries, and admitting visitors to the unit in compliance with the security policy.

Undertake the receiving and issuing of bleeps, keys, panic alarms, ID's etc.

Control security doors from the reception.

Maintain records as required.

Issue locker keys and collect return keys.

Liaise with the ward staff about patient movements (as applicable).

Ensure that reception area is kept tidy and safe.

You will be able to use IT skills and complete basic tasks such as scanning, using emails, using an electronic ordering system and checking i.d passes and contraband lists.
