The
CEO will provide strategic leadership to a large and complex hospital Trust
providing specialist (examples; Childrens and Cancer Services) and
integrated care for the local, regional and national population, with a focus
on delivering the Trust goals.
The
CEO will engage effectively, to represent the organisation with a wide range
of stakeholders, NHS and other partners across the system and region as well
as working closely in our place-based local health and care economies.
The
CEO advocates and role models The Leeds Way Values and behaviours in all that
they do.
Main duties of the job
To
provide vision, direction and empowering
leadership in enabling the Trust to achieve its goals, objectives,
underpinned by risk management and culture.
To
lead and manage members of the Trusts Executive Team ensuring their
professional performance and development needs are addressed and empowering a
team culture through which high performance is achieved.
Continue
to develop and promote The Leeds Way, underpinned by championing inclusion to
ensure that all staff have equality of opportunity and treatment and that
access to treatment for patents is focused on closing health inequality gaps.
Lead the development of the Trust as employer of choice, with the aspiration
to be the best place to work.

- Must have a demonstrable successful record of leadership and strategic management with impact evidenced both within an organisation and across system and regional footprints, likely gained at CEO level
- Experience of delivering organisational strategic goals through working in partnerships and collaboration with others.
- Must have a demonstrable experience and a track record of building, developing and leading successful organisations/programmes to deliver transformation ideally in a multisite environment.
- A record of effectively leading the management of considerable resources with experience of delivering long term sustainability and improvements, leading large scale innovative or organisational change
- Experience of delivering financial, sustainability demonstrating the balance between this and quality and safety.
- Must have a demonstrable track record in quality improvement, exceptional service user outcomes and deep knowledge of improvement technologies and methodologies.
