To
provide management support and leadership to the Executive Management Team
and specifically support the Chief Executive in the management of his office.
To ensure the provision of an efficient and effective administration service
to support the delivery of quality service to patients, to agreed quality
standards, in accordance with agreed activity levels.
The
post holder will be responsible for the management of a clerical team and will assist in the performance
development of the Department and ensure that services are delivered
effectively, efficiently and in compliance with Trust Policies and
Procedures. The post holder will also need to compile and produce various
management and performance reports. In addition the post holder will have a
supporting role in the development and implementation of the Trusts strategy
city wide and will maintain effective working relationships within a multi
professional environment
Main duties of the job
-Responsible
for the leadership and management of staff within the Executive Managements
PA team including performance and appraisal development, complaints, HR
processes etc. This may require
frequent adjustment to plans to ensure organisational and departmental
priorities are met.
Lead the recruitment and selection
of admin staff. Taking responsibility for all stages from completion and
submission of ESR forms, arranging adverts on NHS jobs, short listing,
interviewing and selection
To manage and support change within
the organisation, being a champion of the software and encouraging and
supporting others to adapt to new ways of working.
Assisting in the development of and
monitors activity plans for the Department, making adjustments where
necessary.
Participating appropriately in the
investigation of complaints
Ensure Trust Executive Team
Meetings and Executive Management Group meetings are effectively organised
(agendas, papers etc.) and held in accordance with terms of reference and
recorded effectively (minutes/summary points for senior leaders) and associated
actions followed up.
Support development and monitor
delivery of key Trust Executive Group work plans and co-ordinate Executive
Team progress against actions for meetings and events.
Compile and produce performance and
management reports for the executive team/ assurance committees.
