Job summary

The Brotherton Wing Clinic has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join their administration support team based at the Leeds General Infirmary. Our Service provides care for Leeds and the mid-yorks area.

The prime responsibility of the post holder will be to provide a professional service as part of the front of house reception team for the department. The successful candidate will be joining a very busy, friendly, patient focused office clinical reception environment. The role will be working with a team of clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy support staff and the wider administration team. The role will also be working collaboratively with other specialities and our patient support team and services.

Main duties of the job

The role will require the successful candidate to have excellent IT skills as will be required to work over multiple EPR systems. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including hospital staff and the general public. In addition, the successful applicants should demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and able to manage their own workload. The ability to work to tight deadlines and be committed to providing a welcoming, efficient, and caring service for our patients is an essential part of this role. The role will involve managing our appointments, greeting patients, taking complex telephone calls and accurately updating the patients EPR record.
