Leeds
Radiology currently has several exciting opportunities for keen, motivated
and enthusiastic Radiographers. This role may include cross-site Plain Film
rotation between two hospital sites which will allow you to develop and gain
a broad depth of experience in various specialised aspects of our radiology
service.
Our
established mentorship scheme includes a structured induction programme and
competency training, one-to-one support and regular review meetings to ensure
you feel supported as you develop your skills, knowledge and experience.
CPD
as a newly qualified Radiographer in plain film includes red dot with
progression to primary commenting evaluation and NG tube hot commenting.
We
are holding a Recruitment Event when interviews will take place on October
18th 2025.

Main duties of the job
As
a Band 5 plain film Radiographer main duties will include undertaking a wide
range of general radiographic examinations in the emergency department and
minor injury units, as well as in outpatient and inpatient departments. In
addition, duties will include performing portable examinations in the
resuscitation department and on general wards, as well on high dependency and
intensive care units. As a Band 5 Radiographer you will be required to
provide imaging in theatre to support services such as Urology, Oncology,
Trauma, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery. You be required to use a
variety of radiographic equipment to produce high quality images. Full
equipment training will be provided as part of the mentorship programme, as
well training on imaging protocols and standards of image quality. As a Band
5 Radiographer you will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary
team. The successful candidates will need to be flexible and will participate
in department 24/7 shift patterns
