Are you passionate about clinical photography and eager to make a difference? We provide high-quality photographic, video, ophthalmic imaging, and design services to all clinical specialties within the Trust. We are looking for a full-time Clinical Photographer, either qualified or trainee, to join our team.
Qualifications:
Applying as a Trainee Clinical Photographer you will need:
Minimum HND/degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant media field.
Eligibility to study for the Graduate/Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Photography.
Applying as a Qualified Clinical Photographer you will need:
Minimum HND/degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant media field.
Certificate in Clinical Photography (Graduate or Postgraduate) or BSc in Clinical Photography/Medical Illustration Photography.
Job Purpose:
Provide clinical photography and ophthalmic imaging for diagnostics.
Deliver scientific and non-clinical photography services, including video.
Support patient care by creating high-quality visual records for diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring.
Contribute to patient information, medical education and research through the production of detailed and accurate images and video.
Undertake public relations and communication assignments, capturing images and video that highlight the Trust's work and achievements.

Main duties of the job
To undertake clinical recordings of patients and pathological specimens.
To undertake ophthalmic imaging procedures including fluorescein angiography.
To consult directly with service users, gather information and contribute to the design of project briefs.
To undertake subsequent image management, including the appropriate editing of images and video.
To undertake photographic and video assignments e.g. P.R. photography, architectural and industrial photography.
To assist in the design and subsequent participation of clinical audit to ensure effective clinical governance.
To support and train junior staff.
On occasions, provide information regarding workload and recommend the allocation of staff according to clinical need.
To be conversant with modern trends in scientific photography / imaging,including related computer skills.
The design and input of electronic presentations, this may include scanning of the original material.
Use adobe suite for the production of artwork,including the production of conference posters.
Ensure accurate documentation of clinical and non-clinical requests and assist in their archiving and retrieval.
We provide clinical services and there are occasions where it is necessary to work overtime in order to meet the needs of the service.This may be at short notice.
Co-ordinate the production of non-routine video projects, including lighting and sound recording.This increases the commitment to overtime.
