An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader to join our team in the Department of Clinical Genetics, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. We provide a regional Clinical Genetics service covering the North, East and West Yorkshire region. The service is a member of the new North East and Yorkshire Genomic Medicine Service Alliance (GMSA).

Main duties of the job

To provide management support and leadership to Clinical Genetics Pathology CSU, ensuring the provision of an efficient and effective administration service to support the delivery of quality service to patients, to agreed quality standards, in accordance with agreed activity levels.

The post holder will be responsible for the management of a large clerical team at various levels between bands 1-5. They will assist in the performance development of the Department and ensure that services are delivered effectively, efficiently and in compliance with Trust Policies and Procedures. In addition the post holder will have a supporting role in the development and implementation of the Trusts strategy city wide and will maintain effective working relationships within a multi professional environment.
