Within
the Abdominal Medicine and Surgical service unit at St James University
Hospital, a fantastic exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen. We are
currently looking for a dynamic self-motivated Band 3 CSWs to join our teams on
ward J91 and J92. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to support the
teams to help deliver high quality patient care.
J91
and J92 are both Gastroenterology and hepatology wards who care for some of the
most vulnerable patient in out communities with a variety of conditions
comprising of physical and mental health.
The
successful candidate will be able to deliver a high-quality patient focused
service within the present-day NHS. You will be enthusiastic, pro active and

Main duties of the job
Both
wards are busy, challenging and highly rewarding working environments, they
have fantastic teams of inclusive, hardworking, caring individuals. We are now
looking to recruit to two further permanent band 3 CSW roles to each ward to
support the team to deliver the best patient care. Both wards cover a 24-hour
service and will therefore include days, nights and weekends.
This
is a demanding and challenging role and we are looking for individuals who are
committed to providing an excellent service to patients by delivering high
quality patient care. Our successful candidate will have excellent
communication skills, be able to role model excellent behaviours, based on the
Leeds way values. They will be able to meet all aspects of the band 3 job
description including venepuncture and cannulation which training will be
provided. They will also be expected to mentor new CSWs and members of the
team providing leadership.
