Job summary
The
Women's Clinical Service Unit at Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust is a
leading provider of specialist women's health services in West Yorkshire, and
places great emphasis upon maintaining a high level of patient care. The
department is split between a 9 bedded inpatient unit and a 7 bedded
assessment unit and rotation across both areas will be required. It is a
friendly unit, providing physical and emotional support and a high standard
of nursing care. We have a fast turnover of patients and pride ourselves on
receiving excellent feedback from the friends and family test.
If

Gynaecology or Surgical nursing this is too good an opportunity to miss. We
are looking to recruit to 3 vacancies:
1
x 23 hours per week

x 34.5 hours per week
The
hours will be to cover the service, day and night shift across 7 days.

Main duties of the job
To provide and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised programmes of care.
To deliver care without supervision.
To take charge of the ward or department as necessary in the absence of the Sister or Charge Nurse.
To participate in the in-service training, preceptor ship and mentorship of junior staff, post basic learners and students.
To take responsibility as the prime care provider for a group of patients.
To promote confidence in our commitment to provide excellent compassionate patient care.
To maintain personal development.
