Job summary
We have exciting opportunities for Band 2 Trainee Clinical Support Workers. The role is for those who are passionate about starting their career journey in healthcare. We are seeking to recruit motivated, caring and compassionate individuals that can support our nursing teams to deliver a high standard of care to our patients. We are looking for a team player who has good organisational skills and excellent communication skills. The role is a 6 month training contract consisting of a 3 week training which includes the 15 care standards alongside clinical practice on a ward or in a department.
No minimum entry level (no prior qualifications or experience required)
Must have values, desire, behaviours suited to health and care role
Must be able to work minimum of 30 hours per week. Training for this role will be delivered Monday to Friday therefore candidates must be able to commit to this
Opportunities across all sites with Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust.
You will be required to work all shifts, days/nights/evenings and weekends. We cant offer nights or weekends only 24/7 mix of shifts, 365 days a year.

The successful candidate will be actively involved in providing direct and indirect personal and clinical care for patients under the supervision of a registered nurse within each specialty. You will be assisting in the overall implementation of care as part of the multi-professional team with the expectation of delivering and maintaining high standards of acute and planned care. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in accordance with Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust (LTHT) policies, guidelines, standards and statutory requirements and operate within defined competency boundaries. To ensure our patients receive high quality care in a safe environment you will be required to work a variety of shifts. These include early late, long day and night shifts to cover each day of the week including weekends and bank holidays.
