is a busy, self-contained surgical day unit at Wharfedale General Hospital in
the market town of Otley outside Leeds.
Now
is an exciting time to join us as we are due to open 2 new operating theatres
so expanding in both size and in the complexity of cases we deliver. The
Elective Hub is due to open in September.
Our
patients receive a high standard of care from a highly motivated, forward
thinking team. We have supportive management who take a vested interest in
their colleagues. We cover a wide range of specialities which results in a
varied and interesting workload, no two days are the same. There is the
opportunity to keep skills up to date in anaesthetics, scrub and recovery.
Main duties of the job
We
are looking for Registered Nurses ideally with an Anaesthetic qualification or
Registered ODPs who are motivated, forward thinking, flexible and who are
looking to contribute to outstanding patient experience. You will have an
interest in Day Surgery and a desire to improve your theatre skills in line
with the needs of the department. You will be supported by the team in
developing the appropriate competencies to work in anaesthetics, scrub and
recovery as well as progressing in your career.
Theatre
experience is desirable for this post. Anaesthetic training is desirable as the
role will require an active participation in the anaesthetic part of the
Theatre Practitioners role.
