We have an exciting opportunity to join the Time to Shine award winning Primary Care Access Line ( PCAL ) Team within the Urgent Care Clinical Service Unit at LTHT.
We are looking for someone who is Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to delivering a high quality patient focused service.
We are a team of registered nurses and admin co-ordinators that work together to improve the patient Journey.
PCAL was established in 2003 as a telephone access route for GPs to refer into LTHT to avoid unnecessary attendances to A&E. It is an innovative service which facilitates advice and guidance from primary to secondary care to ensure a smooth transition for patients and a better patient outcome.
Main duties of the job
You must be able to use your knowledge and experience to allow you to assess a situation and make an appropriate clinical decision
You should have excellent telephone communication skills as well as written and electronic documentation abilities.
Experience with electronic patient records and IT skills are also desirable.
