is a busy, self-contained surgical day unit at Wharfedale General Hospital in
the market town of Otley outside Leeds, it makes it easy for parking.
Main duties of the job
Now
is an exciting time to join us as we embark on a period of change and expansion
enabling us to deliver more day surgery procedures out of a bigger theatre department.
Our patients receive a high standard of care from a
highly motivated, forward thinking team. We have supportive management who take
a vested interest in their colleagues. We are a consultant led unit and cover a
wide range of specialities which results in a varied and interesting workload,
no two days are the same. There is the opportunity to keep skills up to date in
anaesthetics, scrub and recovery. We are currently open Monday- Friday 8-6pm.
We are closed Bank Holidays which helps towards a great work/life balance.
About us
We
are looking for Registered Nurses ideally with an Anaesthetic qualification or
ODPs who are motivated, forward thinking, flexible and who are looking to
contribute to outstanding patient experience. You will have an interest in Day
Surgery and a desire to improve your theatre skills in line with the needs of
the department. You will be supported by the team in developing the appropriate
competencies to work in anaesthetics, scrub and recovery as well as progressing
in your career.
Whilst
theatre experience is desirable this post is also suitable for newly qualified
practitioners. Anaesthetic training is desirable as the role will require an
active participation in the anaesthetic part of the Theatre Practitioners role.
