Main duties of the job

Now is an exciting time to join us as we embark on a period of change and expansion enabling us to deliver more day surgery procedures out of a bigger theatre department.

Our patients receive a high standard of care from a highly motivated, forward thinking team. We have supportive management who take a vested interest in their colleagues. We are a consultant led unit and cover a wide range of specialities which results in a varied and interesting workload, no two days are the same. We are closed Bank Holidays which helps towards a great work/life balance.

About us

We are looking for Registered Nurses ideally with an Anaesthetic qualification or ODPs who are motivated, forward thinking, flexible and who are looking to contribute to outstanding patient experience. You will have an interest in Day Surgery and a desire to improve your theatre skills in line with the needs of the department. You will be supported by the team in developing the appropriate competencies to work in anaesthetics, scrub and recovery as well as progressing in your career.

Whilst theatre experience is desirable this post is also suitable for newly qualified practitioners. Anaesthetic training is desirable as the role will require an active participation in the anaesthetic part of the Theatre Practitioners role.
