A number of our team are not eligible for traditional substantive appointments and as such we would welcome those not eligible, to apply for this locum post.

Leeds is one of the busiest acute general surgical centres in the UK and as such our case volume, service design and demonstrated committed investment is ensuring the unit continues to develop and continues to be at forefront of acute general surgery services, clinically, educationally and academically in the UK.

The successful applicants will be encouraged to develop their own personal interests which may include training, teaching, research and management. The unit has developed rapidly over the last four years but continues to present enormous opportunities in embedding Leeds as a national leader for innovation, research and service delivery of emergency and acute care surgery.

The successful applicant should possess FRCS or equivalent, and should be on the Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted onto the Register for trainees currently in a training programme within the UK, or have references which have been authorised by the Deputy Medical Director and Clinical Director.
