MMPS Nursing Team is committed to empowering both patients and staff by

education, and assurance.
An
exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse or midwife to join our dynamic and
forward-thinking team on a 12-month secondment. This role offers the chance to
develop your knowledge and leadership skills in medicines safety while making a
real difference to patient care across the Trust.
We

The
MMPS Nursing Team provides support across all clinical areas and specialties
within the organisation. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to
work across all LTHT sites, collaborating with a wide range of
multidisciplinary teams and gaining valuable insight into medicines management
in different clinical settings.
You will work closely with the Lead Nurse for MMPS to
provide assurance on medicines safety to the Head of Nursing for MMPS and the
Chief Nurse, contributing to our ongoing commitment to safe and effective care
for every patient.
Main duties of the job
The
successful candidate will have a varied portfolio of long-term and short-term
work. They will work as part of the team to:
Support and undertake project work
independently and collaboratively, delivering initiatives related to LTHT
Medicines Management Pharmacy Services.
Develop and deliver educational
programmes and training to LTHT staff.
Develop clinical policies and
guidelines, supporting nurses and midwives across LTHT to stay up to date with
best practice in medicines management.
Work closely with clinical teams to
identify and implement improvements in practice.
Provide guidance and support to
clinical areas to ensure best practice in place in medicines management is
maintained.
Undertake medicine safety assurance
visits across all areas of the Trust.
Support and deliver seasonal
inpatient vaccination campaigns.
