Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Medicines Management and Pharmacy Service Team at LTHT to support the implementation of a new Pharmacy Aseptic Unit on behalf of the West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT).

We are looking for a Deputy HR Business Partner to support the creation and delivery of a workforce strategy.

The successful candidate will be values driven, enthusiastic, well organised, have an in-depth working knowledge of and be highly motivated to innovate current practice in response to challenges facing the workforce now and in the future. Main duties of the job

This role will work closely with the WYAAT Pharmacy Aseptics Project Team and colleagues across HR.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Build and deliver robust plans to attract and recruit the workforce required to deliver this programme of work. The post holder will be expected to innovate and implement novel approaches to optimise workforce resourcing plans.

- Building robust plans and delivering initiatives to improve retention and support staff engagement

- Support staff engagement to effectively deliver this change.

- Innovate and expand our talent pipelines for both registered and unregistered staff and work with the Terms & Conditions and Agenda for Change teams to support delivery.

- Working in partnership with teams across HR and the CSU to fully understand the challenges that are unique to this workforce and collaboratively identifying solutions and strategies to tackle them.

The base for the post will be Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust, but flexibility of location and options to work from home will be considered.

The programme will oversee the implementation and operation of a new aseptic facility to supply large volumes of injectable medicines to WYAAT organisations. Job Purpose

To work as a Deputy Business Partner to a number of Clinical Service Units (CSUs) and or corporate areas supporting the Senior HRBPs (SHRBP) to provide HR and OD expert advice.

The Deputy HR Business partner (DHRBP) will support the SHRBP and lead the implementation of the changes required to CSU workforce practices to ensure these are in line with the CSU Workforce Strategy and the LTHT People Priorities.

It is expected that the role will provide support to: the co-ordination of clinical and non-clinical CSU related change activities to assist them to implement the required changes to CSU workforce practices and implementation of the People Priorities.

The post holder shall be expected to work at a senior management level that will include working directly with the CSU Tri-teams, SHRBPs and Senior HR Management team.

The post holder shall be responsible for the following duties:

1. To work with the CSU Tri-team, SHRBP to support the planning, development and implementation of CSU Strategies and the People Priorities.

2. Under direction from the SHRBP take a lead on planning and co-ordinating all workforce and people priority activities relating to the delivery of the people priority elements of the CSU workforce plans.

3. Under the direction of the SHRBP deliver the workforce element of the CSU workforce plans in accordance with targets and to meet key milestone plans.

4. To be responsible for the communication of key milestones, programme and project plans to the CSU Tri-teams, SHRBP and HR Teams, ensuring that the CSUs and wider clinical and non-clinical teams are kept fully informed of forthcoming milestones and activities.

5. To actively liaise with LTHT Work-stream Leads for the Workforce Strategy of work to include: the Equality and Diversity and Flexible Working Health and wellbeing workstreams.

6. To assist the SHRBP on initiatives, within the CSUs, to progress the Trusts agreed People Priorities, working collaboratively with both managers and HR colleagues from Corporate Centres of Excellence

7. To assist in the SHRBP in identifying and addressing development needs in relation to people management skills, capacity and capability within the CSUs.

8. To assist the SHBRP on Trust wide projects and/or programmes of work as required.

9. To Assist the SHRBP by facilitating and supporting effective organisational change in respect of behaviours and values, service improvement initiatives, equality and diversity and corporate social responsibility.

10. Develop data and triangulation of metrics to support to assist the CSU/SHRBP in developing appropriate action.

11. Provide assurance to the SHRBP in relation to actions, progress and outcomes.

12. To co-ordinate departmental inputs for the project delivery and procurement processes for any planned software applications.

13. Responsible for the operation of one or more information systems in a department / at service level

14. To deliver the planned projects in time and on budget.

15. To establish and lead project working groups and lead on the delivery of activities for the CSU to support the delivery of the workforce plans.

16. Analysis of complex data to provide reports to demonstrate the progress of the programme of work.

17. To take the lead in planning and co-ordinating meetings across the CSU and HR functions to support the effective and planned delivery of the workforce plans.

18. To work with a wide range of stakeholders to drive the achievement of the Resourcing and Promotion of People Plan project milestones, offering expert advice where required.
