Job summary
This is a 10 PA locum appointment for a Consultant surgeon, with special interests in foot and ankle. This post will be available from October 2023.
This post will deliver 10 PAs supporting the Foot and ankle team (Mr Nazzar Tellisi, Mr Adam Lomax, Mr Ray Monkhouse and Mr Paul Dearden). There will be opportunities to contribute to the trauma on call rota.
The post will be based at Chapel Allerton and LGI.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant should hold accreditation in MB BS (or equivalent) FRCS or equivalent qualification and accreditation in the Royal College of Surgeons or equivalent, and should be on the Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK, or have references which have been authorised by the Deputy Medical Director and Clinical Director.
Applicants should have established skills in Trauma and Orthopaedics and its related specialties including Foot and Ankle. Excellent communication and team working skills, a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential.
Consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work full or part time and those wishing to job share.
